IAT320 - Day3: Testing Phase

After the production of the glove's interactivity was complete, we connected the corresponding wires into the right spots on the breadboard and tested our project out. We had 2 people put on a glove each - and hold hands. We took into consideration that different people hold hands differently, so there were more than 2 contact points to make sure that no matter how they hold hands, there will still be contact between at least 2 contact points. At first, only one of the gloves were blinking, and we found out it was due to the position of the glove's inner contact point being slightly away from the other's. So re-positioning and enlarging the contact point area of the other glove was needed. We tested that out, and it worked fine. Then we found out another problem - the contact point between the thumb and the index finger while holding hands had bad connectivity. Partly, the reason was because on one of the gloves had a very small contact point, and it wasn't wide or long enough for the 2 gloves to make connectivity. Therefore, we enlarged the area on both gloves to maximize the contact area and the problem was solved. The end result, both gloves were blinking just fine - one glove glowed red, and the other glowed white.
